2 reviews for Ryzen 7 9850x3d – Tray
How does it compare to the 9800X3D?
The 9850X3D performs about 3% to 7% faster than its predecessor, mostly due to its higher factory clock speeds.
What motherboards are compatible?
The chip uses the AM5 socket. It is supported by the 800-series chipsets (e.g., X870E, X870, B850, B840) and previous-gen 600-series boards (X670E, B650).
What RAM speed works best?
While officially rated for DDR5-5600, pairing it with faster memory kits (like DDR5-6000 or DDR5-6400) and tuning the sub-timings extracts the best possible 1% lows for gaming.
